About Me
I’m building Delaplaine Digital Solutions as a home for my technical projects, a portfolio of my skills, and a place to document what I’m learning.
Who I Am
I'm Eric Delaplaine, a cybersecurity graduate and hands-on builder who likes combining homelab infrastructure, network security, vehicles, and hardware projects into practical, working systems.
What I Work With
- Homelabs & virtualization (Windows 11 Pro host, multiple VMs)
- Firewalls & routing (OPNsense, DD-WRT, Pi-hole DNS filtering)
- Python scripting for network and system tooling
- Microcontrollers & embedded (ESP32, Arduino, sensors, vehicle electronics)
- 3D printing & enclosures for electronics and vehicle projects
- Photography and aerial footage (ground and drone-based)
What I Like Working On
- Turning ideas into working prototypes (especially on vehicles)
- Improving and securing home networks and lab environments
- Designing and printing parts that actually solve a problem
- Documenting projects with photos, write-ups, and code
What I'm Looking For
I'm building this site as a portfolio for IT, cybersecurity, and technical maker work. I'm interested in roles and projects involving infrastructure, security, hands-on IT, and practical problem solving—especially where hardware and software meet.
